Borrow a Book. Borrow the Passes.
Looking for something to do? The library has a number of free admission passes to the following museums and local area attractions. Please call ahead or check the catalog for availability. Passes are available on a first come, first serve basis to Milton residents. The lending period is one day. Below is the list of the museums and attractions available. Links are provided to their sites for hours and further information:
Family Pass Program: Free admission for 2 adults and their children under the age of 18.
ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain
Library patrons may borrow the ECHO pass which will admit up to four people, for just four dollars each.
In Shelburne, VT. Free admission for 2 adults and their children under the age of 18.
Located in Vergennes, patrons can borrow a free family pass while the museum is open from May 23rd to October 11th.
Vermont’s History Museum
Library patrons may borrow a complimentary pass to Vermont’s History Museum, located next to the State House in the Pavilion Building, 109 State Street, Montpelier, Vermont.
Vermont’s State Parks
Library patrons may borrow a pass to access the day-use areas of Vermont State Parks free of charge. The pass admits up to eight people in one vehicle for one day.
Located in Huntington, patrons may borrow a pass for free family admission. The museum is operational May 1st to October 31st.
Vermont Historic Sites
Library patrons may borrow a pass to Vermont Historic Sites free of charge. The pass admits one family or group of up to eight persons for one day.
The Historic Sites are:
- Bennington Battle Monument
- Chimney Point Historic Site
- Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site
- Justin Morril State Historic Site
- Mount Independence State Historic Site
- Old Constitution House State Historic Site
- President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site
- President Chester Arthur State Historic Site.
