Five people ran for three seats on Milton Public Library’s Board of Trustees in the March 6, 2018, election.

Incumbent Veronica Valz defeated challenger Henry Bonges, 1,055 to 415, for a three-year term.

Judy Schmidt won against Christine Hauslein, 784 to 577. Both were running for the remaining year of a three-year term.

Unopposed incumbent Jen Dooley won a two-term, with 1,484 votes.

The town’s $7.67 million general fund budget passed 1,208 to 538.  It includes funding for the library.

Of the town’s 8,350 registered voters, 1,773 cast ballots at the polls on March 6, according to the Milton Independent.   That’s a 21 percent turnout.
