“Art from the Children of Milton” is Milton Artists’ Guild’s featured exhibit at Milton Public Library for the month of September 2018.
“This exhibit is a product of an event led by the Milton Artists’ Guild and the Milton Family Community Center (MFCC) this summer at Bombardier Park West,” said Ellen Young of the Milton Artists’ Guild. Volunteers and children joined local artist and muralist Jon Young on June 23 to paint the dugouts with colorful designs.
Jon designed the murals and painted the outlines in advance, and then groups of children painted them. While older children painted the murals, younger children created the colorful artworks now displayed in the library. “We appreciate Jon’s dedication to making Vermont spaces more artful,” Ellen said.
Milton Artists’ Guild promotes awareness and appreciation of the arts.
MFCC strengthens families by creating easier access to services and resources, promoting a sense of community belonging, and promoting positive parent and child interactions.
