Home Study
This page provides Vermont enrollment requirements, application forms, home study resources, minimum course of study requirements, and end-of-year assessments.

Dual Enrollment
Vermont’s Dual Enrollment program includes up to two college courses for eligible Vermont high school students.

Early College
Vermont’s Early College Program (ECP) has made funds available to students accepted into full-time programs that are developed and operated by one of the Vermont State Colleges or an accredited private postsecondary school located in Vermont, and that are approved for operation by the Secretary of Education.


Vermont Home Education Network (VHEN)
Vermont Home Education Network is an advocacy organization, which maintains a strong homeschool lobby at the state level and acts as a watchdog by monitoring legislation relevant to homeschooling issues.

Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative
The Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative connects students with Vermont schools, to overcome barriers that prevent students from taking the courses they want or need.

Classics for Kids from Cincinnati Public Radio
Free resources and lesson plan materials to introduce students to the joy of music.

ECHO at Home Learning
ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, provides a selection of online activities and resources.

Eight Digital Education Resources from the Smithsonian
This Smithsonian Magazine article explains and links to the newly launched #SmithsonianEdu campaign, with 1.7 million online tools geared specifically toward students and teachers.

Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium Virtual Classroom
The museum is providing educational classes, curricula, and materials online, for download, and, in partnership with Kingdom Access Television, science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programming that reaches even those with limited Internet access.

KHAN Academy
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners of all ages to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.

Vermont PBS Distance Learning
The Vermont Agency of Education has expanded their partnership with Vermont PBS to support in-person, hybrid and distance learning models, providing free educational resources via television broadcast along with digital streaming and resources.

Vermont Historical Society: At-Home History for Homeschoolers
The Vermont Historical Society provides for a small fee links to lesson plans and student materials for two activities which can be done at home.
