The Milton Public Library is seeking qualified candidates for a full time director position.  The Library Director is responsible for the daily operation and development of the library collection and services.  S/he creates and maintains a welcoming environment, and have demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with staff, volunteers, and town officials. S/he offers a variety of public services for all ages.  Working in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, the Library Director continually assesses the community’s needs and interests, implements services and programs to achieve the goals and objectives of the library, evaluates the library’s performance and represents the library to the community.  The Director also implements policies and priorities adopted by the Board of Trustees.

Required Education:
Master’s Degree in Library/Information Science, or equivalent, from an ALA accredited program preferred.

Required Experience:
Three years of progressive management and supervisory knowledge and experience.
