Adult Book Group Discussions
7 – 9 p.m. Thurs. 1/4, 2/1, 3/1, 4/5. Call 802-893-4644 to reserve the book, and then join the group for conversation and refreshments.

One-on-One Computer Classes

Strategy Board Games
5 – 8 p.m. 2nd & 4th Wednesdays monthly for ages 13 – adult.
Learn and play a variety of strategy board games.
Adult Coloring Club
6:30 – 8 p.m. Wed. 1/10, 2/14, 3/14, 4/11
Coloring reduces stress, relaxes your mind, and sparks creativity. Supplies are provided, or bring your own. Light refreshments served.
Paint and Tea with Shanley Triggs
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Sat. 1/20. Sign-up required. Call 802-893-4644.
Paint along with local artist Shanley Triggs, and take home a watercolor painting. Tea and scones will be served. Space is limited.
First Steps in Weight Management

Registered dietitian and wellness coach Brigitte Harton will provide healthy eating tips and tricks, help you uncover your motivations for change, and assist you in making goals to achieve results.

Local freelance photographer Elisabeth Finstad will show how to take great pictures in different settings, and the best way to organize and store them.

Learn the basics of the art of book folding from Marie Bartlett, as we upcycle a used hardcover book into a heart design. We’ll also learn a lantern pattern for creating book art you can hang. Sign-up required. Call 802-893-4644.
Friends of the Library Chili Cook-Off
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Sun. 2/11
Whether you want to compete or just eat, you’re bound to have a lot of fun at this Milton Winter Festival event. For $5, sample the chilies, vote for the best, then have a cup of your favorite. Chilidogs, corn bread, rolls, and beverages are included. The winner receives a $30 gift card to Chili’s restaurant, and their recipe will be featured in the Milton Independent. Editing Digital Photos

Join Forest Pest Education Coordinator Meredith Whitney of the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry program to learn how to identify the signs and symptoms of invasive insects that threaten Vermont’s trees. You’ll learn how to prepare for the arrival of and slow the spread of invasive insects.

The Vermont Astronomical Society will present photos taken by their members, and then lead us outside to use their telescopes to view Jupiter and its four moons, craters of the Earth’s waxing gibbous Moon, double stars, star clusters, and more.
