Milton Public Library Children’s Programs June – August 2019
FREE SUMMER LUNCH
Milton Public Library is a drop-in site for those age 18 and under to receive free lunch 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday 6/17 – 8/16. Just drop in! Hunger Free Vermont and the Milton Town School District are the program sponsors.
A Universe of Stories for Little Ones Up to Age 3
Adults and their children up to age three complete activities that build early literacy skills. You receive your first activity sheet when you enroll. There is a sheet for each month, June through August. Turn in the completed sheet at the end of the month, and your child receives a free book, courtesy of the Friends of Milton Public Library.
Blast Off with Books for Ages 2 – 12
Children ages 2 – 12 can read on their own, listen to a book on CD, read aloud to others, or have someone read to them. They receive a reading log and a bookmark when they enroll. (If you enroll online, make sure you ask for your log and bookmark the next time you’re in the library.) Kids earn a sticker for each book read and recorded on the reading log. Everyone who enrolls and reads receives a certificate and a free book beginning August 13 at our Big Blue Trunk program. Books and certificates may be picked up through August 31.
